I was mesmerized by the images, and colors being published from the Hubble telescope. My curiosity of electromagnetism: the vibrational energy in nature was now broadened to include Outer Space. During 2020 I began to dive deeper into my creative expressions of the electromagnetic energy within plants, human actions and space. My initial concepts appear as drawings, sometimes they become paintings or collages and within the last 4 years, metalwork. I began to research some of the main metal alloy components of the Hubble telescope, to my delight it was TITANIUM. I had first discovered Titanium in 2006, coincidence? I have found that Titanium has the astonishing properties of exhibiting colors often found within the galaxy. I am interested in the manifestation of energy and this body of work has been an exploration of vibrational energy from planets, stars, and the sacred geometry found within historical contexts, nature, (not just Earthly nature) but beyond our solar system. Welcome to our Universe. Carol Ellis Metalsmith |
